On 22 June 2016, the Asociación Parkinson Madrid (APM) attended on behalf of the ICT4Life Consortium the meeting organised within the framework of the European Innovation Partnership on Active and Healthy Ageing (EIP on AHA) in Brussels. Around 100 people attended the meeting, where APM stressed the importance of the role of caregivers for the successful implementation of integrated care models.
The European Innovation Partnership in Active and Healthy Ageing (EIP on AHA) is a pilot initiative launched by the European Commission to foster innovation in the field of active and healthy ageing. It intends to link under the same network the actors involved in activities promoting European population’s healthy and active ageing. The initiative is built on 6 work lines, being each one of them translated into the following action groups:
A1. Adherence to prescription
A3.Functional decline and frailty
B3. Integrated care
C2. Independent living solutions
D4. Age friendly environments
Moreover, a repository of good practices is available on the Partnership website in order to identify and then make available innovative actions in the field of active and healthy ageing.
