ICT4Life took part in the 2017 European Researchers’ Night, which took place on September 29th in Madrid. The European Researchers’ Night is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie (MSCA) action, under the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation Horizon 2020.
The event was very successful in creating an understanding of the impact of researchers’ work on the daily life of patients affected by Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s and other dementia. Moreover, our team is now a step closer to Madrid citizens, making people aware of the main features of the ICT4Life Platform while having fun!
Our researchers from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid showed ICT4Life technology through demonstrations organised in a dedicated show room. Visitors played and tested ICT4Life Platform by simulating falls and confusion moments. Additionally, colleagues from the Asociación Parkinson Madrid organised a 2-hour workshop about Parkinson’s Disease in order to raise awareness about this illness and the importance of supporting affected people offering them an improved quality of life thanks to innovative technology.
